of the Meeting of the Founder and the Foundation Members
on Thursday, November 5, 1992
at the Bishop´s House in Eshowe
This meeting was the first official meeting of the Brotherhood after its foundation. The purpose of the meeting was to inform the Bishop of Eshowe about the foundation and to ask him to
1. review the statutes,
2. give his consent, that the brotherhood may call itself "catholic",
3. issue a formal decree to the brotherhood granting it juridical personality.
The Bishop of Eshowe agreed to and acknowledged the foundation. He was pleased with the genuine desire of its members to serve the Lord. He gave his "go-ahead" and promised to issue the required formal decree.
On the way back from Eshowe the Founder & Foundation members continued their meeting establishing the Executive Council by the required election.
By virtue of the statutes the founder of the Brotherhood, Fr. Gérard Tonque Lagleder O.S.B., is the President and Spiritual Counsellor.
Mrs. Nokuthula Marigold Thabethe was elected the Director of Charity Work and Mr. Geoffrey Kalkwarf was elected the Administrator of Goods.
